Information we handle

• Enquiries. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, attachments, and any contact or project details you provide. The website's contact links open your email application; the public site does not submit a contact form.
• Website and security data. Our hosting and security services may process your IP address, device and browser information, requested pages, and request times. To limit password attempts, the site stores a hash derived from the connecting IP address, an attempt count, and a reset time.
• Private access. When you enter a project code and password, we use them to check access. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. A successful sign-in sets an essential session cookie; the database stores a hash of its token, the protected resource, and its expiry.
• Proposal material. We store client names, project details, proposal text, and related documents or presentations in protected storage. A proposal may include personal information supplied by us or a client.

Why we use it

We use this information to operate and secure the website, respond to enquiries, discuss possible work, provide invited access to proposals, manage client relationships, and meet legal obligations.

Who receives information

Cloudflare provides website hosting and protected database and file storage. Our email provider processes messages sent to or from us. Professional advisers or other service providers may receive information where needed for a project or legal obligation, subject to appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information.

These providers may process information outside the UAE. We assess applicable transfer requirements and use appropriate safeguards where required.

Cookies

The private area uses essential cookies to keep invited clients and the site owner signed in. They are used for access control, not advertising. The session cookie expires after eight hours unless you sign out or access is revoked sooner. Blocking cookies in your browser will prevent private access. The current website does not install optional analytics or advertising cookies.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, taking account of legal, accounting, and dispute requirements. Private access sessions expire after eight hours; signing out removes the active session. Proposal materials remain in protected storage until we delete them. Withdrawing access does not itself erase a proposal. Expired login-attempt records are removed when a later sign-in request is processed.

Security

We use access controls, password hashing, limited login attempts, and protected storage for private proposals. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry unless it is needed for the discussion.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the law that applies to your information, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of its use, and may have other rights. Email info@gwenhwyfar.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.

Other websites and changes

Links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and GitHub, are governed by those sites' own policies. We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The updated version and date will appear on this page.
